Product review: Kitchenaid mixer

Today, I am going to review the Kitchenaid line of mixers.  As many of you know, these machines are some of the great multi-taskers of the kitchen.  Mixing doughs, egg whites, cookie and cake batters, these mixers can handle just about whatever you throw at them, and if they can't, you maybe just need another attachment.

The attachments are where things start to get fun.  When I first tried the pasta roller set, I honestly felt guilty.  Table-crank rollers always made me feel lacking a third arm, needing one to crank, one to feed, and another to guide the dough out of the machine.  With the roller set, you set the machine on slow and feed the dough through and catch it underneath - too easy!  You can also get the copper bowl for egg whites, or the freezer bowl to make ice cream.  Want to try your hand at sausages?  Get the meat grinder (also great for meat loaf) and sausage stuffer.  There's even a nut and grain grinder if you are so inclined.

Professional kitchens are rarely without at least one Kitchenaid, as many jobs are too small for an industrial sized mixer,  even in a busy hotel.  That said, it manages to also be properly sized for the household, almost no job too small, yet able to handle tasks preparing for a large family dinner.  I have had one for years and it is still going strong.   CHECK IT OUT HERE.
